The Social Agent is here to help you further you’re online business efforts by showing you how to connect with the right people in your niche. This site is centered around real and effective business strategies to move you up the social ladder, specific to networking, which will lead to improving your bottom line.
Think about it, in the offline world, lets say that you are a Real Estate professional, if your going to be truly successful you will need to build a small “tight knit” group of people who are experts in the fields that are parallel to you for example an appraiser, a loan officer and a title company. Even though it’s not visually obvious in the online world you can be assured that those who rise to the top are working with a crew. Who promotes who? Who does guest appearances with who? Have you been to an internet marketing seminar? Guess what? Those people all do business together and they all benefit by doing so.
So, who’s your crew? There is more to it than just networking with other people in the industry and we will help you find the right people for you to build mutually beneficial relationships with.
During my six years in the direct sales industry, I learned early on that in order to succeed as a “purchase consultant” with people of all types of backgrounds, motivations, and emotions, I would have to learn a few “rules of engagement” if you will.
- How to initiate conversation in a non threatening way
- Listen to what is being said as well as what isn’t being said
- Ask the right questions according to whom I was speaking with
- The list goes on another 19 bullet points, I’m not going to list them all here
I had to learn “how to deal with people in ways that best suited them as individuals and then learn the business.” When I figured this out, I consistently wrote 50+% of the business regardless of which office I worked for.
People don’t want to be sold– well most don’t– they want to be presented and educated as to what their options are in an honest manner by a positive professional person who “sees” and “relates” to their situation in a personal way.
The Social Agent is about the personal principles of business that most overlook: Yes, you need to write well, optimize, market and so on… but the internet is growing up and its not just about the “cool” looking sales page. People realize that on the other end of their computer sits a person, and what that person does will determine how well that person performs… And guess what? Now they want to know what you’re about.
Our intention here at The Social Agent is to arm our subscribers with the skills and tools necessary to connect with and build long term, mutually beneficial relationships with peers and clients for the purpose of creating solid friendships. We appreciate the commitment, focus, and drive it takes to make it online. It’s not just what you know, and it’s not even who you know, it’s what you do with both.
Everyone has the ability to help other people while being true to themselves, and those who can do that in a sincere and personal way are called friends. Those who choose the right people to add to their inner circle or “crew” are the people who run the show. This process is not what you may think. This is a skill and a study that fascinates me. A little about Landon, “The Social Agent.” I live in Colorado, have two beautiful kids and live with a very special lady. I have been online since 1998, working towards a full time income via the internet. That dream has been a reality for quite some time now. While my focus has been in affiliate marketing, I took most of 2007 off to study the future of internet business. I realized the internet has really begun to grow up and blend in with the offline world (finally). People are utilizing the net for social interaction, and then purchases not the other way around. This realization occurred to me while I was creating yet another profile for a social network. The internet has become a place for constant contact and interaction. It was cool 10 years ago to get an email, it was cool 5 years ago to create a profile on Myspace and now the internet has become a regular part of daily life, “just” an extension of our physical stomping grounds.
