Who’s Your Crew?
March 23, 2008

I have spent the last year of my life thinking about how I can build the business and the life I have always thought about and desired to have. I am on the verge of what will become my “footprint” on the world, both in the business aspect as well as the personal.
I have a dream like so many others. What will set me apart from the heard of sheeple? What do I have that is so different? Why me and not Joe down the street? There are several reasons why, and over the next 6 months this will become clear to many of you. I hope you get the meaning and the idea of what I am about to say
I am not going to tell where I will be in 6 months or 2 years from now, I will not try and predict what my “stats” will be on some future date and I will not make this a series of “see where I’m at now” and then try to impress you or anyone else.
The following will hopefully sink in and remind you of some simple real life principals that exist in every success story, whether that story is about money, personal triumph, or love… and everything else one can strive to achieve.
There are 2 main principles that shine through every written “success manual” ever put on paper, all the way back to when stone tablets were the “paper.”
if you want to achieve a higher level of success… 1. The best and fastest way to do so is to surround yourself with people who have already achieved that level.
2. Become an expert in one or two things and surround yourself with people who are experts in all the other aspects of your pursuit.
There are, of course, many other pieces to a “successful” pursuit, but if you have those other pieces, i.e. knowledge, will, desire, ability, and so on, there are two principles that have to be part of the equation: A group of experts in your crew and you becoming an expert.
The #1 method to go from the level you are at to the level you want to attain is to create a group of people around you who can teach, support, and leverage the skills, knowledge, and resources each individual has, for the group as a whole.
Yes, there are other aspects that must be present, but if you look at even a couple of examples of real success, you will find a group of professionals who have come together to push the every member of that group to a much higher level than what could have been accomplished alone. Period, end of story. I am not talking about it in the way Grandpa Hilton paved the way for his granddaughters, instead I’m talking of how he did it for himself.
I won’t post statistics, and I won’t say “look at me.” What I am encouraging you to do is to take a look at the way I go about business and whom I do business with. That is what this site is all about and that is what my new site is based on. This will be the ride of a lifetime, and I hope you, too, will dive in and join us.

Interaction 101 Part 3
March 15, 2008

Interaction Part 3, continuing the series of how to connect with the people who value the same things in life as you do in an effort to build relationships and business partners.
If you have been following this series you should now have a handful of people that fit your personality whom you would like to add to your crew. You have been commenting on their blog and they have hopefully been responding and maybe even commenting on your blog.
I Was Always Told Not To Run With Those Guys… Sorry Mom!
March 14, 2008

Remember your mom scolding you about the “bad” kids? And the kind of trouble they would get you in? She was right!
The message was clear after a couple years when these kids started getting in trouble with the cops.
Glad I wasn’t friends with them anymore or I would be in handcuffs wondering why I set fire to that pet store and what jail was going to be like. All of this at the ripe old age of 15. I cant even imagine what that was like.
Moms message also had an equally drastic reverse meaning that I began to understand that day.
The people I was “running with” were getting good grades hanging out with the hot girls and the popular kids who were good natured and fun. These people also liked to raise hell, and we did our share of it but common sense kept us out of serious trouble.
Initiating Contact Part 2
March 3, 2008

Welcome back…
if you haven’t read Part 1 of How To Network With Other Bloggers: Part 1, this post won’t make any sense to you.
Yesterday, I gave you some homework, and these are some statistics you might be interested in.
If you did the homework before you read this, good for you. You have a 92% better chance of success. Why? Because its the Law of Action.
You can have the best intentions, saying to yourself ,”I’ll do it, I’ll get back to it. I will get it done.” But will you? The law of averages
says you wont. The reason people make it in business is because they take action on a decision, follow that up with taking action on
another decision.
I am not trying to beat you up if you haven’t done the “action” part yet… you will get it done - right?
Now that you have finished those tasks, let’s see what we are going to do with them. Now you have five new people who seem to fit your personality and your style, so you are going to take the next step in figuring out if they are the right match– before you spend to much time on this. Heres what your looking for: Read more
Building A Crew?
March 3, 2008
Do you understand the importance of building a crew? How do you build one and with whom? In the world– and in internet marketing and blogging specifically, “He who builds the strongest and tightest crew wins.”
Full time income from the net is difficult. Having a group of people, a crew, to further the goals of each individual is imperative. Look at Courtney Tuttle for example. Who seems to be his crew? A couple of people are. Go see if you can tell who he works and hangs with.
Initiating Contact 101
February 17, 2008

This is the first post in the Initiating Contact series which is about networking with other bloggers/publishers in your niche. I will be going over the do’s and don’ts of networking for the purpose of “crew” building (otherwise known as an inner circle), why you need one, and who you want to invite into your world. Shall we?
So you have a blog, what are you doing with it? If you’re reading this, chances are you are either trying to make money by sharing your knowledge with others, or maybe you’re trying to spread the word about something that’s very important to you, such as environmental issues or helping people to lead better lives. Whatever the case may be, there is one skill that will make or break your endeavor…
