Don Miller of MSMM.com, The Branded Version?
April 6, 2008
This weeks spotlight is Don Miller from MakingSalesMakingMoney.com
I work with Don on 2 separate projects and I can tell you that Don is one Passionate guy. His passion
is for people!
Landon:
as far as MSMM.com goes, how much time do you spend writing and how much time do you spend
marketing your posts?
Don:
Frankly, I am a content guy first and I generally do a significant amount of time thinking about my content.
So to answer your question, I don’t stop thinking, as for the actual writing of a post, I can pound out what
I need in about an hour.
Marketing my material? Not quite as much as I used to, at least not the way I used to. I generally post
everything on Blogging Zoom and let it pretty much go from there. I have found that once you have
established a presence, people find you more often than we think and that is part of the model I like
to follow. Just like thinking I market when I’m awake, perhaps using different techniques and different
venues than you might think.

Courtney Tuttle. The Man, The Myth, The Legend
March 26, 2008
In the spotlight this week is one of my favorite bloggers and internet marketers, Courtney Tuttle.
Don’t worry, this isn’t your typical ass kissing interview, this is a look at Court from a different angle.
I am doing a series within a series with Court where we will be creating an ongoing interview, if you will.
The point of this is to find a benchmark and follow along in an unorthodox way. By follow along I mean
just that, I will follow along and pry out of him the “what” and “how” he builds his business. Now don’t get me
wrong, Courtney discloses so much on his blog Courtneytuttle.com that you can literally start an online
endeavor his advice and not looking for it elsewhere.
However, I like to figure out what goes on behind the scenes how a “project” came together from idea
conception through to a via business.
The Blog Entrepreneur Is In The Spotlight For Doing What?!?
March 17, 2008
The Blog Entrepreneur has found himself in the spotlight, whether he likes it or not.
This is officially the first “spotlight” post. Bill from TBE has kindly agreed to be our first.
Put your tongue back into your mouth, it’s not like that.
The Blog Entrepreneur …
Clean, uncluttered, not stuffed with ads.
The Spotlight
March 11, 2008
We are taking the “interview” a little bit further than most. Why? Some people just kick ass at what they do. The Spotlight will be updated weekly, some weeks we will feature two people at the same time so read fast. This isn’t a 10 minute quick look at a blog to determine a 1-10 rating.
Once a week we are featuring a blogger who does things a bit different from the herd. The spotlight is going to give you a deeper look at how an individual was able to get to the level they’re at and give you some ideas as to how they plan on getting to the next . This is going to be done is several ways.
- We will look the blogger or in some cases the bloggers
- We look at the blog
- We look at their social profiles and online presence
- And whatever the hell else we want
We aren’t going to be interviewing the bloggers who fit in and spout the same crap so and so had on his blog yesterday, nope. These people have to have some class and social responsibility to make our cut. If you would like to nominate someone, even your self if your not scared, contact us
How do we qualify class and responsibility? These people all have some common traits, they
- Tell it like it is
- Publish content that isn’t regurgitated from the main stream ‘tard babble
- Honesty and ethics
- The nerve to be your self and come off as an individual
- Do all that without being a drama queen “just flingin mud”
- Oh, almost forgot the most important, have something intelligent to say
