I Was Always Told Not To Run With Those Guys… Sorry Mom!

Remember your mom scolding you about the “bad” kids? And the kind of trouble they would get you in? She was right!

The message was clear after a couple years when these kids started getting in trouble with the cops.

Glad I wasn’t friends with them anymore or I would be in handcuffs wondering why I set fire to that pet store and what jail was going to be like. All of this at the ripe old age of 15. I cant even imagine what that was like.

Moms message also had an equally drastic reverse meaning that I began to understand that day.

The people I was “running with” were getting good grades hanging out with the hot girls and the popular kids who were good natured and fun. These people also liked to raise hell, and we did our share of it but common sense kept us out of serious trouble.

Why does this matter to you? How do the people you surround your self with effect what you do? Where you go? What you accomplish? And pretty much everything else.

Pick up a book on success, any book on the topic. Oh, you have about 1300 of them. Ok, in this reality we call life there is one factor that will carry you up the success curve or down in the opposite direction. The people you surround your self and your business with is one of the most important things you can do.

If you intend on succeeding in your niche, you have to have the right crew. Besides, even if you know nothing about sports you do realize that come Sunday during the football season there are two teams who line up against each other. Team. It would be ridiculous to see one of those teams send out just one guy to play against an entire team of 11, right? Guess what, Business is the same way. Even if you are a one man show within the smallest niche there is.

Take the pet niche, well its not a very small niche is it? No but take it a step further, Great Danes, thats a pretty small niche, probably. Ok so we have a small niche that we hopefully have a lot of solid knowledge about.

• and everything else Great Dane
  

So put up a site, write all you can to get the site going. People start to trickle in and your thinking of ways to get it to take off. After all, you researched it the niche, the questions that relate to Great Danes and you even own a breeding pair your self. Great you are an enthusiast! What now?

There are about 3 million things you could do at this point but the one thing that will have the biggest impact is the people you surround your self and this website with. But who?

• Other Enthusiasts
• Clubs For Great Dane Owners
• How about Groomers?
• Large Breed Vet Specialists
• Other Large Dog Breed Sites. maybe Great Pyrenees or Saint Bernard Sites etc.
• How About A Pet Sitting Regulatory Site? Where people go to rate the services provided by dog sitting companies.
  

The point is to interact with other people who are as passionate about the same topic, but have a slightly different take on the subject or a different position in this community.
