March 15, 2008

Network With Bloggers To Make More Money
Interaction Part 3, continuing the series of how to connect with the people who value the same things in life as you do in an effort to build relationships and business partners.

If you have been following this series you should now have a handful of people that fit your personality whom you would like to add to your crew. You have been commenting on their blog and they have hopefully been responding and maybe even commenting on your blog.

Whats the next step? That depends on what you have going. Do you have a product or service that you are selling? Give these people a copy and ask them to review it and give you feed back. Ask them to recommend it to their readers if they like what you have put together.

For example

This step is going to be a little different for everyone based on the niche that your in. Lets use the pet niche and for example say that you have a niche site about Great Danes. You have been interacting with other bloggers for the purpose of building a crew so that everyone can benefit by the groups total activity.

Add Value

Lets say that you have written a book on how to get big dogs to settle down when they come in from outside, maybe you titled it “Settling A Giant”. Now the people you have been initiating contact with are owners of other large breed blogs. After building the relationship foundation by being active and participating we are going to begin to add value to those relationships by becoming an asset . Don’t mean to get off track but follow me for a minute.

Build Friendship

If you have done a good job of creating solid content on your site, you can begin to link your posts to their posts and do it freely. They will begin to see that you are doing so. Give them a copy of that book you wrote and ask them to offer it to their readers and make them an affiliate. When you do that send them an email and ask them to call you when they are done with the book. Most of us are pretty busy, give them a few days and follow up. Now it’s time to begin building the friendship.

The Trick

I f they read your book and liked it they will surely call you. Make nice and be friendly. What did you think there was some trick to this? You already did it. The trick is to initiate contact, after that it’s all about adding to the initial contact. Be your self, be nice, be honest and this new friendship will build on its own.

The next post in this series will discuss how to take that new relationship/s to the next level.
